SAPA Folding Door 2086 is available in outward- or inward performance and allows large openings with up to 6 foldable door leafs, with or without pass door. The door leafs are interconnected with hinges on the inside or the outside and hang on roller fittings along the top edge. The door is opened by folding the door leafs together on the inside or the outside to form a package by the frame side. Door 2086 has 86 mm deep profiles, basic insulation level with 42 mm of glass fibre reinforced polyamide strips.
Door leaf profiles are available for narrow and modular locks. Rebate for glass and infill panel 20–56 (64) mm. The outer glazing bead is integrated in the door profile for asymmetrically installed glazing units. 2086 can easily be combined with our Facade Systems 4150, 5050 SG and Glazed Elements 3086.
This product is made of Hydro CIRCAL® recycled aluminum. Read more here

Functional dimensions
Glass thickness 20-64 mm
The illustration shows the different functional dimensions commonly used by the window industry and established by the MTK. The gaskets are made of EPDM rubber and are available in several versions.
24a Threshold 20 mm for outwards opening folding door with up to 3 door leaves
24b Threshold 26 mm for outwards opening folding door with 4-6 door leaves
34a Threshold 20 mm for inwards opening folding door with up to 3 door leaves
34b Threshold 26 mm for inwards opening folding door with 4-6 door leaves
For a folding door to function in a satisfactory manner it is important that the fixing elements and the base structure along the top edge and the side are stable. The rail profile used for hanging up the door leaf fittings must be well anchored so that the clearance between the door leafs and the floor is sufficient.
Door elements must be fixed to a stable and suitable wall structure. The choice of fixing method depends on the wall type. The number and location of fixing points depends on the size of the element.
