Achieving a more sustainable future can only be done through a joint effort by all stakeholders. In partnership with Saint-Gobain and Glasgruppen, we are decarbonising the construction industry. Saint-Gobain’s new ORAE glass is the first low-carbon glass on the construction market. ORAE has an estimated carbon footprint of only 7 kg CO2eq./m² (for a 4 mm substrate), a reduction of around 40% compared to Saint-Gobain’s European clear glass baseline.
Glasgruppen and their new 4SG insulating glass has twice the life expectancy of standard insulating glass, more than 50 years, and six times the guarantee period against inter-glass condensation. This is another major sustainability step, and we at SAPA are proud to work with both partners towards a more circular future.
